Well, I’m about to step out of my comfort zone, into the unknown, yes, I have to do it too!

Our bodies get so conditioned to doing the same thing, day in  day out, over and over again. That’s why it’s so important to mix up your training, try something new, shock the body. I see it all the time. People walking around the gym with their program in hand, doing the same weight training routine for the last 2 years.

People doing exactly the same with group fitness classes. The same class, at the same time, the same day, every week. It’s time to wake up a few dormant cells, and change things.

For me, my weekly routine includes teaching  7 classes a week, (3 Body Combat, 2 Body Pump, 1 Shbam, and 1 Body attack.)

I also throw some weights around the gym floor around 3 times a week.. But, I’ve got a little stale, and my body isn’t reacting or changing how I want it too.

So……I’m stepping outside my comfort zone, and I’m trying new and exciting things. I’ve taken up crossfit. And trust me, I find it hard…it’s such a challenge. Not only for my fitness, yes…my fitness, but also for my mobility, and I have realized how INFLEXIBLE I am. I am working with a reputable certified crossfit box / gym,  to help improve my technique, for which I need to stretch, stretch and stretch more, and also do as many WOD’s ( workout of the day) as I can for the week. It’s crazy I know, but I love it!! And I am in awe of the athletes that train there to compete in crossfit games. They are so fit, so strong, so focused, and so committed.

I am now about to go and try another Box, which has Crossfit and Boxing. All of this will test my endurance, fitness, strength and mobility that is way outside my normal activities.

Stay posted and I’ll let you know how it all went!!!
